TNT Delivers Top Three Most-Viewed Programs of the Night Among People 18-49 Across All of Television 

TNT Off to Best Start for Second Round Coverage Ever (Tied with 2018), Up 18% vs. 2022 

TNT’s coverage of the highly anticipated NBA Western Conference Semifinals Game 1 between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors averaged 7.4 million viewers last night to become the most watched Conference Semifinal Game 1 in the history of cable television. 

The Lakers/Warriors telecast – the #1 program of the night across all of television (cable and broadcast) — is also the most-watched Conference Semifinal game on TNT in over a decade (Lakers/Thunder, Game 5, on May 21, 2012). The telecast peaked with an average of 8 million viewers from 11-11:15 p.m. ET. 

Collectively, TNT posted the top three programs of the night across all of television among People 18-49, with the Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks Game 2 averaging 4.7 million viewers earlier in the evening and Inside the NBA with an average of 2.2 million viewers. 

The network’s Conference Semifinals coverage (5 telecasts to date) is tied with 2018 for its best start all-time, and up 18% vs. 2022. 

Overall, TNT’s 2023 NBA Playoffs coverage is averaging 3.8 million viewers, up 10% vs. 2022, and tied with 2018 for the network’s most-watched playoffs since 2014. The network is posting impressive double-digit gains across all key demos, including P18-49 (up 13%), P25-54 (up 17%) and M25-54 (up 22%). 

TNT’s NBA Conference Semifinals coverage will continue tonight with Game 2 of the Philadelphia 76ers taking on the Boston Celtics at 8 p.m. Kevin Harlan, Reggie Miller and Allie LaForce will be on the call.
