This season marks the start of a new seven-year rights agreement between Turner Sports and Major League Baseball including a season-long regular season slate and extended coverage of the MLB Postseason. TBS will serve as the exclusive home of the 2022 American League Division Series (ALDS) and American League Championship Series (ALCS). The current multimedia rights agreement extends the partnership between Turner Sports and MLB to more than 50 years. The partnership represents one of the longest-running relationships between a media company and league in the history of televised sports, dating back to 1973 when MLB games were first televised on WTCG (now TBS).
