In partnership with Macy’s and Men’s Wearhouse, the 2023 SAY YES TO THE PROM Tour will take place in Atlanta, GA, and Los Angeles, CA
SAY YES TO THE PROM is back for its eleventh year, alongside returning retail partners Macy’s and Men’s Wearhouse, to help give 1,000 deserving students nationwide the perfect prom look. This year, the educational and charitable initiative will take place in two cities, kicking-off prom season in Atlanta, GA, in February before heading to Los Angeles, CA, in March. SAY YES TO THE PROM creates the ultimate prom “shopping” experience, complete with one-on-one styling sessions with Monte Durham of TLC’s SAY YES TO THE DRESS: ATLANTA.
Each of the 1,000 students will be treated to a full day of shopping hosted by Durham and employee volunteers from Warner Bros. Discovery, Macy’s and DIRECTV. The students will be able to choose from a selection of 1,000 on-trend dresses, as well as shoes and accessories. Students will also have the option to be fitted for a complete tuxedo rental from Men’s Wearhouse. Stylists from CNN will be onsite to help cultivate their personal prom style by providing hair and makeup consultations.
Dates and locations for the 2023 SAY YES TO THE PROM tour include:
- February 6-7 in Atlanta, GA, supporting Atlanta Public Schools
- March 7-9 in Los Angeles, CA, supporting the Los Angeles Unified School District
“Entering its eleventh year, we are excited that SAY YES TO THE PROM continues to make prom dreams come true for deserving students by giving them an unforgettable prom shopping experience,” said Adria Alpert Romm, Chief People & Culture Officer, Warner Bros. Discovery, and creator of SAY YES TO THE PROM. “What initially began as a prom dress donation drive and outreach event in 2011 has since evolved into a nationwide initiative to help connect students with future internship and mentorship opportunities that help prepare them for their futures.”
“We are thrilled to once again partner with Warner Bros. Discovery to provide deserving students a once in a lifetime prom experience,” said Sari Summers, buyer for junior dresses at Macy’s. “At Macy’s, we inspire style, celebrate moments every day for everyone and look forward to providing on-trend looks for students to own their style for prom.”
“We are excited to be working with the team at SAY YES TO THE PROM for another year and to have an opportunity to dress these students for their big night. Prom is such a special occasion for so many young adults, we hope our support helps them look and feel their best for this moment and gives them an evening to remember,” said John Tighe, President of Tailored Brands, the parent company of Men’s Wearhouse.
This year’s SAY YES TO THE PROM tour welcomes new and returning national partners. In addition to a glittering selection of 1,000 donated dresses from Macy’s and tuxedo rentals from Men’s Wearhouse, SAY YES TO THE PROM will be more impactful than ever before with employees from Warner Bros. Discovery participating in dress and suit drives to donate to Becca’s Closet. Additionally, Warner Bros. Discovery, Macy’s and DIRECTV employee volunteers will serve as mentors and style guides for this year’s events.
Designed to go beyond the dress to prepare students for college and careers, SAY YES TO THE PROM also features scholarship, internship and mentorship opportunities as part of educational and youth workforce partnerships with the Emma Bowen Foundation, The Posse Foundation and the T. Howard Foundation.
