Dr. John C. Malone is Chair Emeritus of the Warner Bros. Discovery since June 2025, following a long tenure on the Company’s Board and its predecessor entities. Dr. Malone is also Chairman Emeritus of the Board and Interim Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Media Corporation and Liberty Broadband Corporation. He brings extensive leadership experience having served as Chief Executive Officer of Tele-Communications for more than 25 years, until its merger with AT&T in 1999.

Previously, Dr. Malone served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the board of directors of Discovery Holding Company from 2005 to 2008, when it merged with Discovery. He has served as a director of Liberty Broadband Corporation since 2014, Liberty Media Corporation (including its predecessors) since 2010, Liberty Global (including its predecessors) since 2005, and Qurate Retail (including its predecessors) since 1994.

His prior public company directorships include GCI Liberty from 2018 to 2020, Lionsgate from 2015 to 2018, Liberty Expedia Holdings from 2016 to 2019, Liberty Latin America from 2017 to 2019, Charter Communications from 2013 to 2018, and Expedia from 2005 to 2017. He also brings extensive experience serving on boards of non-profit organizations within the cable industry, including Cable Television Laboratories, and The Internet & Television Association (formally National Cable Television Association).

Dr. Malone served on the Warner Bros. Discovery Board of Directors (including its predecessors) from 2008 to June 2025.
